The Commercial/Industrial Refrigeration & HVAC Technology program prepares students for employment as technicians in the design, operation, service, repair, installation and sales of these systems and equipment. The program combines theory with extensive practical hands-on training designed to simulate the actual work environment and skills needed to excel in this challenging field. Labs afford the student the opportunity to install, repair and/or operate literally hundreds of pieces of actual field equipment, such as commercial coolers; warm air, hydronic, electric, gas, and oil furnaces; package and split system A/C; rooftop commercial gas packs; refrigerated sea water systems; liquid chillers; industrial ice machines; centrifugal chillers; cascade refrigeration; pneumatic controls; and direct digital controls. www.btc.ctc.edu
